What time should we get there?
Use the departure time on your ticket. The 5:00 PM starting value below is an example, not a published sailing.
The operator asks passengers to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure, and reserved passengers to reach their boarding area 15 minutes before sailing. Our longer buffer is a planning suggestion; parking queues and boarding depend on the day.

Missed your sailing?
Take a breath. Ask the ferry team about the next available sailing and your ticket or tram arrangements before leaving the terminal. Check the last departure and current service conditions; another boat is not guaranteed.
If you have time for a meal, downtown Southport is a separate stop from Deep Point. Allow time to get back, park and board. Ask the team what to do with any bags already checked in.

The mainland ferry terminal is at 1301 Ferry Road, Southport. Use your ticket and the official schedule to choose the right sailing. Your car stays on the mainland.
Unload first, then park
Use the terminal’s lower-level luggage drop before parking in the General Lot. Keep your parking ticket for your return. A photo of your nearest row sign can make finding the car easier. Follow signs and staff directions.
How long does parking take?
There is no single dependable parking time. Unloading, queues, walking back and regrouping can all add up. Our planner below starts with a one-hour buffer; that is a planning suggestion, not a measured queue forecast.
